Flat Squirrels

I have my first decluttering client so we'll see if he thinks I can make a go of this as a business. It's my dad and he wants help sorting and organising his tools in the garage. I'm actually really excited about it and have spent a happy couple of hours designing a logo and starting a list of all the things I need to do to get a business up and running. It's a rather extensive list and feels sort of overwhelming as I don't know how to do all of it yet but it's the most excited I've been about work in a long time so I'm going to go with it.

The website domain I want is not available so I have to choose another one. I can have a .uk site or a .net site with the name I want but not the normal .com or .co.uk and I'm not sure what would be better or if it even matters as long as it works. It's areas like this where I get stuck as I don't want to make an expensive mistake and go down the wrong road but because I don’t know enough, I put off the decision and think I'll come back to it but then that has a knock on effect for everything else I'm trying to accomplish.

I don’t want to spend a fortune on things but I do like them to be pretty and want them to reflect the type of business I want to run. Hopefully I can get things up and running and figure out how to an actual blog with the potential to actually make money. There's so much to learn but I'm also learning that people who succeed in business learn as they go along. They don't wait till they have it all figured out to start with. I think that's probably my weak point. I want to have it all figured out and be able to do it perfectly at the beginning but I can't as the only way to learn, is to actually do which terrifies me slightly.

I'm looking forward to playing with it this week and if anyone has any top tips for starting your own business, feel free to share. I certainly need all the help I can get.

My quote for today is courtesy of my brother who sends a selection of humorous and sometimes sarcastic quotes to me regularly: "Be decisive, right or wrong, make a decision. The road of life is paved with flat squirrels who couldn't make a decision. - Unknown

My photo is of my amazing daddy and me. So grateful for his support and his full garage so I can hone my skills.
